FAQs

Q: Where can I find more info about the Outlook add-in/integration?
A: The Salesforce help site is a great resource for an overview of the Outlook add-in features.

Q: My Salesforce icon in Outlook 365 is grayed out - why?
A: You probably have the email preview/reading pane disabled - you can enable it by going to View > Layout > Reading Pane and then selecting the placement of your preview/reading pane. If you prefer to keep the preview/reading pane off, you can instead open an email & either click the Salesforce icon in the email's Message ribbon OR click the More Commands (...) button to see the Salesforce icon. Often, the icon is greyed out until you open an email composition pane. Once in that pane, it will be accessible.

Q: Why does the Salesforce add-in keeps disappearing when I open an email in Outlook 365?
A: See the instructions above for pinning the add-in.

Q: How do I use the Salesforce Add-in with a shared mailbox?
A: We are currently looking into options for shared mailboxes - check this article for updates.
