Introduction

This article describes best practices for printing special, non-standard print jobs including labels, cardstock, or other different paper types using Ricoh KPrint printers. How to Set Up the Printer for Special Jobs

Sending a Print Job from your Computer

Note: the default input tray on all Ricoh printers is the large capacity tray (if equipped) or tray 1 (if no LCT exists).  The bypass tray must be used for special print jobs using thicker or heavier paper.

  1. Select to print the job from your application, choosing the KPrint-Color or KPrint-BW printer

  2. In the print dialogue screen, select Printer Properties
  3. Under Input Tray select Bypass Tray
  4. Under Paper Type select Thick Paper 2 (or other if applicable)

  5. Click OK

  6. Make any other finishing settings, if needed

  7. Send the print job (Note: Send a single-sheet test job first to confirm your job will print as intended before processing a large job)

  8. At the printer, open the bypass tray and add your paper / labels / cardstock

  9. Log in to the printer, then select Print Release to print your print job
